My Magical Day in Photographs

As A lot of you know, last Monday, September 21 at 6 PM, I married the love of my life Caleb Joseph Lough.  The ceremony was very small, but beautiful. The setting was very intimate and the church only held about 60 people. We went to Minard’s after where we cut our wedding cake and had our first dinner as husband-and-wife with our immediate family. After dinner, we were blessed with a night at Lakeview manor bed-and-breakfast. All in all it was a magical day and it went by so so quickly. From experience, I must say to those of you brides out there who stress about weddings, the only thing that matters is that you are in fact getting married and I can honestly say that when I was exchanging vows with Caleb that nobody else in the room even existed. That is how it is supposed to be, that is the only thing that matters other than most importantly making the commitment to God that you are going to spend the rest of your lives together. With that being said, here are some of our photos ..

Fun in the Sun 🌞

Yesterday I let my lovely sister play around with my makeup. She did light shadow with falsies , cranberry lipstick, foundation and bronzer of course !

In the future, we will be doing a lot of before and after pictures and more in depth descriptions of how we achieve certain looks. We are looking to begin posting videos as well.

I recommend these stretchy little skirts to all of you out there, especially black or really any funky color, they are so easy to either wear high waisted or at mid length. I have a ton of cropped tops and can mix the shirts with any of these and come up with some pretty/ funky cute outfits ! Super simple if you don’t have a lot of time to plan out an outfit.

As for my hair, I did not use any shampoo while in the shower, the longer I go without washing my hair, the better it lays! I use a leave in conditioner and Garnier miracle oil, and it truly is a miracle! I believe I have a post from months back about this particular product ! It is the only product that I have ever found that keeps my hair from frizzing!

Hope you enjoy and are looking forward to future posts/ videos. Comment below if this is something that you would like to see in the future!

Tea Time !

Yesterday, I attended my very first tea party. First, I was a little nervous because I had no idea what people wear to such things! But I thought a little chiffon and lace would never hurt. It was very hot yesterday so that’s all that was perfect , light and very breezy. My outfit is from Charlotte Russe and I believe I bought it about a year back . The shoes I borrowed from my mother-in-law and we got the garden hat from a yard sale for I believe two dollars! I love yard sales. But AnyWho, I did pretty simple, light make up. I used some light browns , Skipped the eyeliner (which I never tend to wear anymore) Applied my falsies, and made sure that my contouring was bold. I think that falsies and nice contouring really does make or break your makeup, or at least, it is what stands out the most. I decided to embrace my natural curls and go for a very nude lipstick. I had a lot of fun with this look. Super easy, lightweight and comfortable! The tea party was an absolute success!
When I arrived, I had my own little place setting with my own name card!

Not to mention, the food was outstanding!

I’m very happy and blessed that I got to spend the day with some of God’s girls whom I love dearly!

Bye Bye Dry Skin!

vichy

Okay so, I know it has been SO long since I’ve posted anything BUT I just had to write a review on this product!

I have been struggling with dry skin all of my life, and in only a matter of TWO days my dry skin has been non-existent ! I used to always have to exfoliate and then moisturize before every foundation application and at night, or I would just be so flaky! Not only has this amazing product kept me looking hydrated and healthy but it has also given my makeup a flawless finish/ “dewy look” if you will. (which I LOVE). A lot of people say the dewy look makes it just look like oily skin, but I beg to differ. If anything it gives girls a beautiful glow while also allowing them to look hydrated and refreshed!

I signed up to start receiving an ipsy bag which I believe is only $10 a month. You fill out a profile and your interests and skin type, and they send you generous samples of different brand products. I have a very nice collection of high end products and HAIR products as well. It is truly a great investment, and I didn’t have to pay a fortune paying for full sized products just to find this great cream! The sample sizes, I believe are very generous. I have made each product sent last for a few months! Definitely give this brand a look! I believe the average sized cream runs between $23-25 depending on which site you purchase it.

I’m telling you ladies, this cream is a miracle! Before, I would use a moisturizer and by the end of my work shift, my skin had already flaked up! With this moisturizer , I truly don’t even think I would have to apply it everyday if I didn’t wash my face at night! It’s wonderful! Hope this helped you all! Today’s look!

This beautiful sunshine inspired me to wear this floral / flowy dress today. The dress by itself is perfect for spring, but I added this little fringe over throw not only for warmth but to give it more of a bohemian feel. The dress I just purchased from Gabes about a week ago and I do believe it wasn’t much more than $10! I’ve had the over throw for a bit longer however, and it was actually from the shopping part of Cracker Barrel. It was $20! The shoes I purchased from Charlotte Russe for $5 . As far as my hair , my dear mother threw in a couple of braids for me ( in which I may add that I’ve been a little obsessed with lately). A very simple look , but very colorful , fun and most importantly, COMFORTABLE . Hope you like it ! 🙂

How to tame those natural curls

curly hair

Recently, many people have asked me what I do to tame my natural curls. In the past, I rarely ever wore my hair curly because I always felt that it was so big and by the end of the day it was just unmanageable. Until recently, I came across an AMAZING product that I use religiously.

YES

Garnier Fructis triple Nutrition oil, and it really isn’t lying when it says ” miracle dry oil” . If I’m being completely honest… I need about two inches off of the bottom of my hair, but when I apply this oil you can’t even tell. In the past, I would put the crappiest products in my hair to try and tame it. Such as – gel, mousse, and hairspray. If anything those are the WORST products that you could use and at the end of the day they just dry and damage your hair more by causing more breakage and split ends.  With this miracle product, I hardly have to apply anything else!

I wash my hair, and put it in a towel for about 5 minutes so that it’s not soaking wet, and then i comb it through with a wide tooth comb, section it off from the top of my ears and apply a palm full of leave- in conditioner throughout and then apply the oil. However, I spray the oil into my hands first, and then apply starting at the roots. You have to be careful with this product if you don’t have a lot of frizz and especially around the roots of your hair because a little bit of this goes a long way, but if you’re scrunching it, then it’s easier to get away with because it just looks like luscious locks.

My hair is extremely thick and coarse so it is perfect for me because I need all the moisture/ shininess that I can get. If you’re just curling or straightening your hair, I would only recommend spraying twice into the palm of your hands and  running it through the hair starting from your ear and working your way down. If you have natural curls this is truly a life saver. I put an unforgivable amount of heat on my hair every week and was so insecure about my frizzy nest in the past, but now I hardly ever use heat because I love how much healthier my hair looks, and I can also tell that using less heat has allowed my hair to grow quicker! So what are you waiting for ? If you have any further questions about the products that I use on my hair, feel free to email me or comment below!

xoxo
